View Full Version : Body behaving strangely

Hi there--
For the last several months I have had really strange things going on with my body. I am always tired, ready to sleep whenever I can. At night my body is liek an oven (but no nightsweats). Lots of strange rashes. Blood blisters on my fingers, along with these other pin-sized dots that appear out of nowhere (on fingers as well). Went to doctor yesterday and she ordered all kinds of blood work, asked all kinds of questions, and from what I can gather on the web it seems like she is ruling out leukemia maybe.

Now, I absolutely hate it when people overreact and become drama queens, especially when there are so many people out there who really are sick. Normally, I am as healthy as they come, but have not felt right for months. For the first time in my life, I am a bit...concerned about my health. Now, I am certain that it is probably one of a hundred things, but I thought I would ask some experts what they thought. Could this be leukemia?

Appreciate the patience here

Brent

Mr. Brent,

I know there are lots of blood disorders that are not cancer related. The blood blisters on your fingers I think are called pa-tik-ia (something like that. I'm not sure of the spelling) I knew a lady that felt tired and rotten alot and had those little blister things and she had a blood-clotting disorder that was treated with med's. Please don't jump to the worst conclusion.
You could be stressing yourself out over a simple answer. I know easier said then done. I have freaked out over health problems that turned out to be very minor. All it did was aggravate my conditon, and I know this isn't good for us.

Okay, I did receive the results yesterday finally. Elevated white blood cell count and elevated c-reactive protein. So, the doc is having me take another full blood count in a month and see if there is any change.

Feeling like **** today--even my hair is hurting!

Mr. Brent

I still say your test results could be many causes.I tend to go off the deep end too. My body feels like cr#p today..and it has ME wondering. I swear the older I get the more anxious I become. I don't know if you're religous, but I'm going to praying for you.

The waiting game with doctors can be brutal. I know. I've had an unexplained condition for 5 months now. I have to visit the doctor every 2 months for a YEAR!!! Oh the fun I'm having wondering and worrying.

Mr. Brent I hope you're okay.
