Monday I was very sick, vomiting, chills, slept a lot, stomach hurt, once I vomited my stomach felt much better, I had a pain in the middle of my stomach that went through to my back, once emptying my stomach the pain left. The rest of the day, my lower stomach hurt to touch, at 11p.m. I took some tylenol and immediatley threw them up with what looked like bright yellow, whatever it was, I am wondering if this was because of the pills and water hitting my stomach or if it could be the gall bladder as i can feel a discomfort by my right rib, the morning of Monday my urine was also a dark yellowish, brown does this happen with gall bladder? My husband thinks it was just the flu, and I want to be sure. Stomach soreness is gone today, sorry for going on, but i am very concerned.
thanks

Hi there - as a past GB sufferer, it's hard to say from your post that it's definitely the gall bladder. If your symptoms recur, then it's certainly worth getting checked out. Unfortunately, gall bladder symptoms can mimic a GI upset/virus, but will continue to recur or worsen over time where a virus will go away.

Keep a journal of your symptoms and definitely see a doctor if the nausea, right side pain, etc. continue to come back.

I was out sick Monday with a GI virus and had significant mid-abdominal stomach pain that went around to my lower back, chills, fatigue, and weakness. It was a virus, since I no longer have a gall bladder, and the symptoms cleared up within 24 hours.

Good luck to you,
Katie G

The brownish urine sounds a bit too much like hepatitis to me.
If it continues or goes to coffee color, see your doctor.
Usually with hepatitis, you get nauseous if you eat anything, ESPECIALLY anything even slightly fatty.
