I went to the doctor and was prepared to stick to my guns about getting tested. Usually I wimp out and just let them tell me whatever or prescribe whatever. I told her of all the problems that I've been having especially about the recurrent yeast infections. She suggested I get an HIV test and said that sometimes that can be a symptom. Suprisingly I wasn't scared because of this. I was just happy that someone was finally addressing the issue. I've been getting the Depo-Provera shot so I've also had abnormal periods (reason for the visit). She said i might also be anemic. After the nurse drew my blood I asked when the results would be in. She said "they'll be back tomorrow so you can call the doctor then". What?!! Can you get results back that fast? My fiance' told me that he had to get surgery on his foot and that they tested him and gave the results the following day. WEll of course I'm really stressing and had a long sleepless night. I don't want to wait for the doctor to call me...I'm going to be on edge all day but i'm happy that at least I did it. Whatever happens...I'm still here.
