HelloThere 2 You 05-17-2003, 10:56 PM If one has the 13q14 ... if it has not been deleted will that matter in the prognosis?? esract 05-18-2003, 11:14 AM For Newbie, A 13q14 deletion as the ONLY deletion in a FISH test (a genetic test...FISH stands for flourescence in situ hybridization)..........gives you an EXCELLENT prognosis. CLL will probably never kill you........you will live WITH it until you die of something else. If NONE of your genes are deleted in a FISH test, then you don't have CLL. Go to http://www.google.com and put in the search engine 13q14 deletion and chronic lymphocytic leukemia prognosis and WATCH what comes up, to verify my statements. Other results in the FISH test aren't so good, like the Trisomy 12, which means you have 3 copies of the #12 gene. Best, Ellen ------------------ Ellen |
