Hi! Is there anyone out there who has CLL who has never been treated by conventional medicine, but who has successfully seen their WBCs and lymphs go down using any form of alternative medicine? Also, how long have you had CLL and did you ever have the FISH test to see what genetic abnormalities you have?
Thanks,
Ellen

What is the FISH test? My husband was diagnosed 3 years ago with CLL and we have never heard of it.

I' haven't heard of the Fish test or any other tests really. As far as having high WBCs, mine has been high since 1995 and I am not receiving any kind of treatments or medication. Doctor says he suspects CLL.
Best advice I can give is to stay happy and as positive as you can and smile :-).
Take Care,

[QUOTE=hprees]What is the FISH test? [QUOTE]
Fluorescent In Situ Hybridization (FISH) is a method to detect abnormalities in genes. It only requires a DNA sample from the patient (no big machines or anything really invasive to worry about). FISH can locate chromosomal abnormalities so it's got great potential for diagnosis - but it can not tell you how the damage got there (i.e. hereditary or environmental). Somebody can probably give the details more precisely than this.
