Since December, I burp almost constantly. It is worse after eating fatty foods, so I thought gallstones, but I was tested and the u/s didn't show gallstones. I've also had pain in my stomach some nights and there's so much air in my stomach that I sound like a creature from another planet I belch. Not only is it embarrassing, but it is uncomfortable. I feel bloated constantly.

I am having a HIDA test soon, but my dr. doesn't think it will show anything because I haven't had all of the symptoms of gallbladder problems (ie pain between shoulder bladers and in upper right chest area).

Some friends suggested food allergies or lactose intolerance, but I'm 39 and I've never have this sort of problem before.

It's not acid reflux or GERD.

I'm actually hoping the HIDA test says there is a problem with my gallbladder and then I'll have a solution?

Does it sound like gallbladder problems even if I don't have gallstones?

I'm starting to feel desperate.

This sounds a lot like my problem!!! Check on my post "Not so sure it's my gallbladder" from about 2/15 and see what I have done and what the dr has told me! I have gas constantly, but that's about my only symptom.. Let me know what you think! I am just confused as to what to do next! If you find anything out with your Hida Scan, let me know! Let's talk!

I've got the same problem with burping...its almost that I have to burp my food down...and the burps get stuck soo bad sometimes, i'm ready to cry. I've got acid reflux and am on prilosec, but its not helping with the burping thing. I've had my gallbladder checked, i've had an abdominal ultrasound and no one has found anything. I'm not sure what to do.
I will be seeing a doctor in a couple weeks for a different issue, but I planned on asking him about this.
Can acid reflux be associated with this burping?? or indigestion....
