Just wondered what London had to say about your constant motion, ground bouncing symptoms? Did they say they were normal for this? The guy I saw was a little perplexed at the bouncing symptoms I get. Guess it v much depends on who you see really. Another thing was I think he misinterpreted what I meant by "bouncing" as he said that many with this feel like theyre on a ferry - which I do - and is effectively what I mean by bouncing though the ground can bounce and I can feel pushed/pulled.

You?

Thanks xx

hi there

How are you doing?

When I saw the neuro-otologist I explained the feelings of bouncing and constant motion and he wasn't phased by it at all. I expected him to look confused...but from what I could tell he understood.

When I said to him that all I want is for the motion/bouncing feeling to go...he said that it eventually will get better after VRT.

The whole bouncing thing is bizarre....walking along and feeling like the ground is a trampoline.....and then stopping and feeling like I'm sinking into the ground every few seconds.

I said to the doctor 'The VRT will help these symptoms?' and he said yes....so I'm hoping that VRT works for me.

How is it going for you?

Kelly

I think perhaps I was just unfortunate to have a guy who wasnt too aware of this symptom...

Thanks for reassuring me about that.

Feeling ok at the mo thanks - dizziness at a tolerable level - doing VRT - having CBT every 2 weeks via the phone - due to go to london in 1 month for both CBT and VRT.

Feel much more supported.

Of course have my bad patches - last weekend was one - as was on a course and had 1 1/2 hrs kip one night - plus slept on the floor for 2 nites in a sleeping bag - doesnt help!

Keep smiling and keep doing the VRT :) Are you feeling any better after overdoing the VRT?

You're welcome!
That all sounds good...apart from the 1 1/2 hours sleep...I get nights like that too.

I don't feel as sick now that I'm doing only one exercise at a time. Dizziness is still bad...but its only been 5 weeks. I'm still waiting for my first VRT appointment..which is April 19th :(

But hopefully once I've had the appointment.....I will have the right exercises for my condition....I've got a head start doing these ones now.
