Does anyone here have this? If so, are you taking medication for it?

Convergence Insufficiency is defined as a problem with the teaming of the eyes at close distances. There was study done recently showed a link for these to these two disorders. I'm just trying to learn more about it.

I don't really understand what "teaming of the eyes" is but...

When I sit in bed and read at night, my eyes often jitter (like a tired muscle) and drift, or I have trouble just focusing (not mentally, physically) on the page. I find that it is helpful to close one eye or the other. It is really annoying to have to do this, and it makes the open eye very "tired" after a while, and I have to switch eyes. Is this what you're talking about?

P.S. I am not far-sighted. Reading glasses just make the problem worse, and visually really wierd.

I've read only a bit about this, and that many kids who have it have been misdianoised ADD when they really have Convegence Insufficiency. I think special eye exercises given by an expert in the disorder is the treatment.
