:) I have recently started a new running program and i have found that on a few occasions when i returned i have been fairly wheezy. One time i was laying in the bath about 5-10 mins after exercise and my breathing was quite loud and faster that usually. I believe this may be exercise induced asthma as i do not usually get this sort og symptoms other wise. I did visit a doctor a few years ago whilst i was still at school, as i used to play basketball and experience similar symptoms, however at the time this was dismissed as i was diagnosed with a mild heart condition (asymptomatic). I also find that I very often get coughs and when i exercise i find it quite hard to clear my throat. Has any body got any thoughts on the matter, or share similar symptoms. Should i visit my GP?

Let me ask you a few questions.
Have you ever been diagnosed with asthma?
If so, do you take your peak flow reading every day?
If you have never been diagnosed with asthma, the first thing you have to do is to eliminate other possibilities.
I personally recommend you going to see a pulmonologist or allergist.
In addition to history taking, they would give you some tests, such as pulmonary
test, blood test, electrocardiogram or X-ray check etc.
To check your EIA(exercise induced asthma), peak flow reading before and after getting exercise might be helpful,
but remember that it is important to keep in close contact with your doctor.
Good luck. :bouncing:
