I have been taking Ortho Evra for 2 weeks now, I am on my 2nd patch. On Saturday I developed what felt like a urinary tract infection. I was trying to think what could have cause it and I can only think of maybe changing to the patch or maybe condoms.

My significant other and I do not use condoms but we did for the first week I started the patch and I remembered that when I first used a condom I got a UTI but then I dont know if it could be related to the patch.

So..I went to the doctor and they couldn't find any sign of a UTI! The only thing they found was trace of blood in my urine. So they prescribed me an antibiotic because after 3 days I was still feeling the same way.

So, I am wondering has this happend to anyone else on the patch or the pill?

It's very unlikely to get a UTI from birth control, especially from that patch.

UTI's occur when bacteria enters the urethra. A patch couldn't do that.
