well.. i am 13 years old and i found that one of the best ways to tone your whole body (especially your legs) is to do some cardio such as running and jump rope. im also trying to get into shape b4 the swimsuit season! lol. i need to work mainly on my abs... i do softball for my sports.. and it is giving me better toned arms but no abs... do u have a flat tummy.. if so like how did u get it?... i have pretty thin legs from running :).. its the best! lol

You guys should try pilates, along with regular cardio. Pilates really strenghtens your thighs and butt along with your core (stomach and back). Also try doing squats, lunges and plies while strength training that really helps too. Good Luck.

Girls: Pilates, Cardio.
Boys: Pilates, Cardio, weight lifting, and diet.

Girls only need to take the fat off and look lean but boys need to take weight off, fat off, put on muscles to look buff, and be healthy most of all.

Try supplements as well. Supplements like protein, fiber, magnezium, zinc, or other minerals, proteins, fiber, vitamins that you need. DO NOT TAKE THEM AS MEAL REPLACEMENTS, because your body will go into starvation mode. The body will then burn far less calories.

thats not ALL girls hafta do... they hafta be fit and toned up too... not to mention if they gain only 5 lbs. you can definately tell! lol! oh yeah, i do have nice abs... not really sure how I got them, guess they just came that way! mainly working on the legs, seems like that's where most of the fat on my body is stored, considering the rest of me is pretty skinny... so thanx for the advice! and oh yeah, is jumping on a trampoline and doing all kinds of weird kicks and stuff good for the legs? :bouncing:

Do some ab exercises an keep running a lot. The last place you lose fat from is your waist line, if your arms are getting toned then your abs will follow very shortly.
If you do a few ab exercises with weight resistance you will proly see those abs poke out a bit if you have some tone in your arms.

You need to run/jog a lot to get that metabolism ramped up. Those people that can eat anything an never see it show have a high metabolism, the more you run/workout the higher your metabolism gets. Of any exercise out there you get the most out of running when it comes to burning calories.
Like 20-30min a day 4-5 days a week.
When Im on a fat burning cycle I'll run 30-45min a day 6-7 days a week.

k, quick question for the person who posted last! i don't own a treadmill, and i'm not allowed to walk on the road by myself [i live in the country], my dads scared someones gonna get me or something... lol... last year when it started getting warmer i went walking in the woods behind our house twice a day, and it's prolly bout a mile walk. i noticed GREAT results in my legs... but now im kinda stuck... how much does a good treadmill cost? also, if i talked my dad into letting me run/jog on the road, how should i start? like how long? and when should i start increasing? thanx for the advice! :)
