I'm trying to become flexible enough to do the splits - a few nights ago I did some stretching, holding the stretches for longer than I usually do. The next day I noticed some pain in my inner right thigh, and I thought it was normal muscle pain from the stretching. But today I looked and was horrified to see that I have a GIANT purple bruise there. It's not that painful, but I've never had a bruise this big before. I can't think of anything I did to cause something like it. Is it possible to bruise yourself from stretching? Or should I be worried?

thanks for your help in advance :)

When you strech out, the veins, muscle, flesh streches itself and the mini pores become bigger. The body has big veins, as well as little veins. The little veins are hairlike, they are very very tiny. Like your eye, you have seen a red eye? It is red because of the litle veins in the eye. As you strech, these veins strech along. Since they are tiny, they have no resistance, and they break causing blood to just leak. It is a partial internal bleeding. Blood clots inside the skin, making a bruise. Nothing to worry about. As you are streched, the veins will reform, but LONGER so next time they can just take shape instead of streching to the max and breaking.

anytime sweety. I think I need to do some streching. I can't even touch my toes. I guess working out makes you not move. I have been controlling working out but I am fukin adicted to tha gym.
