Hey everyone, I know this may sound crazy but my Throat feels really weird. For the last week i think. It feels like its hard for me to swallow/ and kind of uncomfortable and i feel like the muscles in my throat/neck are soar. I also feel like its slightly swollen and its kind of unfomortable. It is driving me nuts. Anyone have these problems (its probably all in my head). PS. My Thyroid Blood Test Results came back Normal. My Doctor alread checked into that. Do you think there could be a mistake at the Lab?? or do you think i am developing a cold?

I would appreciate any responses. Thanks a bunch.

That's normal with anxiety. I sometimes feel like I have a large lump in my throat if I'm close to getting an anxiety attack. It really worried me, and I even had the doctor check it out. It's just a symptom though.

I have to agree with you Negative Ions, I get that feeling every time right before I get an attack. It scares me to death b/c I think my throat is going to close up on me. Then I start telling myself over and over again your going to be ok it's just anxiety.

Yep, I still get it once in awhile. Nowhere near as bad as the first time it happened. Now that I know what it is I don't worry about it. I rarely have attacks any more, and when I do there really small. The throat thing is just kind of an inconvenience now. :) When I do get the throat feeling it seems to go away when I fall asleep and doesn't come back until an hour or so after I wake up. I wonder what causes it though.

probably just stress and anxiety-try not to think about it. You're throat is probably just dry-drink some water-that used to happen to me when i would gte an attack

I had that prob last night and it sucks. My breathing was fine but it felt like I was choking. I think mine is also allergy related becuase I have really nad sinus problems and post nasal drip. I wish I knew how much was allergy related and how much is anxiety.
