The pills are 99% effective so personally I wouldn't use a condom too. If you want to be extra safe, do it when you're on the last few of the 21 pills or first couple placebo pills. That means your period is coming soon.

There isn't an exact "safest week." If you miss a pill one week, obviously that week is a little less safe.

Each pill is different, too. There really is no difference between weeks in a monophasic pill, but hormone levels vary weekly on a triphasic pill.

I'm on Kariva (generic for Mircette) which is Monophasic. I take the pill perfectly, every single day at the exact same time....but because I'm only 22 and in college, I'm very cautious, and don't want to get pregnant.

As long as you take your pills correctly you should be able have sex without a condom as often as you want. While I was on the pill I never used a condom. Just make sure you are taking your pill everyday around the same time. And don't miss a pill. If you miss a pill then I would use a condom just in case. :)

I wouldn't worry about it. You're taking the pill perfectly so it's practically 100% effective.

I also am on the pill and have been for a month. This past sunday (the 19th) i started my second month, and i had sex on wednesday night. I was taking my pills perfectly at 2pm during the first month, but the first four days of my second month i wasn't as good- i started them at 4pm, then was not very consistant (the next day was 2 or 3pm, the next 9pm, and the next i didnt take it until midnight) When we had sex we did not use a condom. I am wondering if I am at a high risk for pregnancy- 1. because of the inconsistant pill time and 2. because of me being in my first week of a new month of pills (is that a more unsafe time to have sex than another?) Im just making sure, and kind of freaking out... looking for someone to reassure me that I am not pregnant. I too want to be able to feel safe on just the pill , not using condom sometimes.

I've got to ask..being the Virgin I am..at least for now maybe^^' . In december I am going to go see my boyfriend for a week. And I may or may not loose my virginity(It could happen..plus we've missed the other ALOT>.>'). But the thing is(yes I'm on the pill. I use Yasmin). But I've had my moments to were I have not taken my pill on time,but I have still taken it that day(even if I might have been a tad late on it><).

What I'm wondering is that if by chance when I go to see him if we don't use a condom(though I think I want that just to be safe..^^" I want kids..just someday. and neither of us are ready for that yet.) Will I be ok? Like will I be at a higher risk, because I've at times not taken my pill on time.><' I want to not use a condom..but I do at the same time. I just want to be sure if we don't(heat of the moment type deal I guess) I should be ok. I do take it on time, its just mostly at times with work, when I get out It's time tot ake it and I dont have it with me(I take it at 10pm).

Oh and another question..since were he is his time is an hour behind me..should I take it at 9pm his time when I am there? Or wait until 10pm..@.@'
