Hi I was on nuva ring for 6 months which made my monthly cycles 28 days. Before the birth control my cycle was about 32 days. So can I expect my periods to stay regulated at 28 days or will they go back to the way they were before? Also this is my first month off the birth control and I am waiting for my period to come. Will it be heavier, more painful? The first month off birth control do you think my cycle will be 28 days and then get off to 32 the longer im off it?

I was on the pill for about 8 years or so, I really don't remember what my cycles were like before that but now that I am off the pill my cycles are sometimes 32 days and sometimes 27 or 28 days. This past month was only 27 days. My periods arent any heavier than when I was on the pill. Thats the good thing. My first day is the heaviest and by day 3 or 4 I am usually pretty much done with it. :)

There's no way to know. You might stay regular at 28 days, or you might become very irregular.
