My daughter is 19 and she has been experiencing something weird for a few months. After she eats, within 15 or 20 minutes, she has to have a bowel movement. Especially if she eats a lot. What could this be? She doesn't hurt and actually have diarrhea. But it's like the food just goes straight through her. I would appreciate any response if anyone has ever had this?

Cindy,
It sounds like she is intolerant to something she is eating. My wife use to just drink 1/2 a cup of coffee and would have a BM.
I would try keeping a log of everything she puts in her mouth and try to find a common food or drink that may be causing the problem.
We are all so different and react differently.
Another thought is her intestinal bacteria -- the good friendly type may be out of balance and needs to be re-balanced. Try eating yogurt that has many cultures or Kefir that has alot of friendly cultures. And take a probiotic supplement twice daily.
There are over 400 different bacteria in the intestines and there is a constant WAR going on between the GOOD ones and the Bad ones.
There are many things that cause an imbalance of intestinal bacteria -- like antibiotics, medication, too much sugary or salty type foods or drink, spicy foods of all kinds and the list goes on---
I wish her well---Harry

Thank you, Harry, for your reply. I, myself, take a probiotic, and I guess I need to start her on one. She loves yogurt, so that will be easy. It seems to be any type of food that causes this. She loves Chinese food and at first we thought it was that. But I notice just about any food cause the problem. Thanks
