Just wondering if anyone has any info or has been through this before...
I had a baby on 12/23/04 and was put on birth control pills 6 weeks later. I was started on Ovcon 35 which I took for one week before I started spotting. The spotting then turned into a heavy period. I called my doc and they told me to keep taking the pills and it should stop, it didn't. They then put me on Ovcon 50 (just a higher dose of hormones) which was supposed to stop the bleeding. I took that for 2 weeks and continued to bleed. So now I have been bleeding very heavy for 3 weeks or so and my doc told me last Friday to stop taking the pills and just go without anything and that should stop the bleeding, but it is Monday now and I am still bleeding just as bad as I was before. Has this happened to anyone else? Any idea on how much longer I may bleed?

I guess not too many women have gone through this. I hope it gets better for you. I haven't been bleeding as long as you have, but sometimes I wonder if I am going to bleed to death!!!!

Good luck!

Wallflower - did you ever get straightened out?

I had a baby on 6/12/05 (c-section & a tubal). I had post partum bleeding for 6 weeks, it finally stopped and I had nothing for about 3 weeks. I started bleeding, which I assume was my period and bleed for just shy of 2 weeks. It was kind of heavy, but not too bad. Doc said the first period is usually heavy, we'll see what happens next time. Well, 2 weeks later, I started again and have been bleeding for 3 weeks now. The bleeding has at times been very heavy. They put me on Lo/Ovral which I took for about 1.5 weeks, it slowed the bleeding down, but didn't totally stop it, so now I'm on Ovcon 35 and just started taking it today.
