View Full Version : Copper in relation to adrenal insufficiency

I read an article on Dr. Larry Wilson's site about Copper toxicity, and supposedly, "a sluggish liver or weak adrenal glands may cause copper to build up in the tissues." If this is true, and since I already most likely have adrenal insufficiency, would I be possibly harming myself more by adding more Copper to my body in the form of a Copper intrauterine device?

Thanks,
Katalina

Just wanted to add that one of my last docs had me taking copper supplements and I definitely felt worse. I only took them for 2 days.

I don't want to actually take copper supplements, sorry, I must have worded my post wrong. I was actually planning on getting the Copper-T IUD (Intrauterine Device) and I was wondering if the excess copper that creates in the body would be harmful in relation to adrenal insufficiency.

Thanks:)
Katalina
