What is the excercise you guys have found to be most effective for losing fat fast? or at all ( doesn't really have to be fast that would just be the best lol)

Running at a steady 5.5-6.0mph or faster for 30-60min. The real key to see decent results is do that EVERYDAY.

Actually, diet is the key to fat loss. You can work out all day long, but if your diet isn't in order it's possible that you won't lose a pound. Cardio is a good start, but cleaning up diet is *essential*.

If you can't run because of the weather or whatever, step aerobics is a very sweaty heart pumping workout. Spinning is also good, but I find stepping to work cause for one, it is equvalent to running 7.7mph, and there are tons of videos pertaining to stepping so you can do it at home. Collage video has a ton of choices. :)

I lost 20 lbs in 3 months when I started by doing a half hour of TaeBo every morning. I cant really do it anymore that much though because I have bad knees, but it really took the weight off really fast.

My favorites have always been weight lifting combined with a good jogging/sprinting routine. I would life weights maybe 2-3 days a week and alternate between jogging and sprinting on the off days. I could work out maybe 5-6 days a week this way and still feel pretty fresh most of time. I swear that if you keep it up, that fat just seems to melt off but more importantly, everything tightens up so you'll actually look "good" not just "skinny". If jogging or sprinting is a problem, you can always replicate the long/slow and short/fast routine on a stationary bike, stair climber, or elliptical machine...whatever works for you.

Dance Dance Revolution on Playstation. Burns the calories and it's fun!

You should combine resistance training with cardio training. The resistance training will build muscle which will cause you to burn more calories at rest. The cardio burns calories while you do it and helps you gain aerobic fitness and is great for your heart.

Swimming combines resistance and cardio at the same time. Or, doing weights every other day and running or biking or elliptical trainer etc.

I do find that exercise makes me hungry. And, when you are hungry, you should eat. I don't think exercise is essential to weight loss, but is essential to good health (I am a compulsive exerciser) and certainly helps your appearance.

Running fast and long distances or doing kickboxing (aerobic or real) for at LEAST a half an hour to an hour everyday. Those two are the kings of fat burning exercise.

Or do both of them....just alternate them on different days. Like for instance:

Mon, Wed, Fri - Kickboxing
Tues, Thurs, Sat - Running

You combine either of those with a good diet of ice water, green tea, plain brown rice, fresh veges, fruits, and lean meats like grilled skinless turkey, chicken, or salmon, and you will be on your way to a lean, mean, in shape machine!

Lifting weights is the best way to lose weight. The more muscle you have on your body the higher your metabolism is even when you are sitting. It takes energy to maintain muscle. So when you have developed muscles your body is burning up calories just trying to keep that muscle maintained. You don't have to be a body builder either. Just do it three times a week for about 45 minutes and it will make a big difference. If you combine that with aerobics that would be the fastest. Also obviously you need to cut back on unhealthy foods too. One thing to think about though when lifting weights is the scale might not look like you are losing much weight because muscle weighs more than fat. You will be able to see a difference in how you look and how your clothes fit.

At 5'6" and 120 lbs you don't really want to think about losing weight. I am 5'7" and 125 lbs and some people say I am too skinny. But I know what you mean. I have my spots that if I gain any more weight look fat. I seem to gain it all in my stomach and look pregnant if I weigh 130 lbs. People at my work who said I was too skinny at 125 lbs stared at my stomach when I was 130 lbs. If anything what you would want to concentrate is gaining more muscle and losing the fat. Lifting weights would be the best thing that you can do for that. Also walking on a treadmill on an incline really works the legs and butt in the shortest amount of time.
