I wanted to make people aware of the Reader's Digest story in the March 2005 edition. It is called The Family Curse. It tells the very courageous story of a woman who is the 25th person in her family to have als. My heart goes out to her and everyone who is diagnosed with this terrible disease. I'm still going through testing although I think they are pretty sure I don't have als, no one knows for sure at this point. Finding a diagnosis seems to be a long process. It's a very well written article and I'm sure those of you diagnosed, or have a loved one who has been diagnosed, will emphathize with what this family is going through.
