I was just wondering, has anyone felt that using warm compresses on your lids has made them look darker in color? Also, where can I get these gel eye masks I read about? Last of all, does anyone know if doxycyline is better absorbed w/ food or does it not matter?
Thanks so much.

I think the darkness or for some, redness of the eyelids can come from the warm compresses...I guess the blood vessels dilate and cause the color change. My eyelids are red and, of course, get redder with the warm compresses but then they calm down after awhile.

I would try taking the doxy without any food...two hours before and after. If your stomach can't tolerate it, you can take some food but be careful because I think some things lessen the effect of the doxy.

good luck!

I started doxy 4 days ago. My doctor told me to take it with food. I take 100mg am and 100 mg pm.
