Hi, first time posting to this board. I am getting a little concerned over the swelling in my neck. It is only on the right side and it is from ear to collar bone and now swelling along the larynx (long thing that runs down middle of neck), this has been happening about 4 months now. I am very fatigued and not sleeping well at night and waking up early. Sweating during the day.
One day I am feeling chipper the next not so. I also have a burning under left rib cage that comes and goes.
Anybody have any ideas what this could be.
Thanx for any feedback

Have you undergone any tests yet? The first thing to do with such symptoms is to have a full blood count and a spot test for Epstein-Barr virus, which can cause swelling of the lymph nodes and spleen (which is in the upper left quadrant, where you describe the burning sensation). Fatigue and sweating are also common symptoms of this virus.
What type of swelling is it exactly? Is is hard or soft to the touch? Fixed or mobile? If you have not seen a doctor yet, perhaps you should ask one to have a look at it.
