View Full Version : Prosac?

I've been to the hospital very recently after many tests. It's been six months since I've started feeling tired, cold, and many flu symptoms - all the symptoms would take too long to say
They actually didn't diagnose me with anything and might put me on Prosac for depression. I only think depression is a secondary thing, not a cause.
I believe that I have CFS because I have all the symptoms and I've been ill for 6 months but they won't say that. Would Prosac help the CFS or just the depression?

All the best,
Bambi :bouncing: xxx

P.s. apologies for any spelling mistakes

Hiya

Prozac will help true depression. It may also help your CFS. The only thing I would say is that it's probably best to ask for an antidepressant that is to be taken at night. This is the most beneficial for CFS sufferers as it improves the quality of sleep, supposedly making you less tired during the day.

I can't say I had any success with Prozac, but then I'm not depressed. I have CFS, but it doesn't affect my sleeping pattern. If you have depression and poor sleep due to CFS, then an antidepressant may be beneficial, but ultimately it's up to you.

I hope you start to feel better soon. :)
