Hi there. As My title says I've been a type 11 for three years, well controlled but I've notice something that bothers me. I have purple marks around the inside of my ankles. I have one Doc who glanced at them from acrosss the room, snorted and said, varicoss (SP) veins. Ok, I can accept that. My daughter in law took a look at them and said, no, they go in a straight line, these are in clumps, like pooled blood. I don't know what to think, anybody got any ideas? I'm waiting with baited breath.

Best thing to do is see a doctor who is "interested" for proper diagnosis. Hmmm....sounds like you may have seen the same doc I did a few years ago. Doc leaned over from across the room and told me my problem was dry skin on legs. Yeah right! saw a better doctor and found out it was vasculitis. Liquid/blood was oozing out the capillaries.
