OK, my Dr gave me ACTOS 15 mg and I started taking on Monday Feb. 28. When should I see a difference in my numbers? When I was taking Metformin I saw better reading in about 2-3 days. I know this is still early taking this med but what were your results and how soon. My readings have been around 12 to 14 (216-252) for a while now since I was off all meds and they are still that high. Thanks :confused:

I have only been on it for about a month. Saw great results right away. I never saw any change with Metaformin. My readings were over 200 a lot of times and in the morning in the 175's. They are in the 80's -110's. I am charting now and it looks real good. Also really watching what I eat. I had lost 16lbs but put a few back on after starting Actos. But now I have lost another 6lbs the last couple of weeks. I have to get into doing more exercise. Had a gallbladder and liver test today because I have had pains since on Actos. Hoping everything is okay. May just be from something else. Just waiting for the results. Also having cataract surgery in a few weeks. Glad my surgars are down for that.

Well the Dr. called. I have gallstones. So now I have to talk to a Dr. about what to do for them. So I would guess it is not from the Actos since I have only been on it a short time Now I hope I can get by on only getting one eye done for my cataracts. This is going to be an expensive year for Drs.

actos should work quickly and is often taken with metformin, its usual to get a bloodtest for the liver when starting actos as it occasionally can be hard on it
