View Full Version : Endoscopy done, don't feel so good, help

Hello,
My name is Katt and I have something like GERD or acid reflux (both the same?) or that LDR thing. My GI did an endoscopy thing today at 11am, it is now 6:30 and I don't feel so good. My throat hurts to swallow anything and my chest hurts a bit, nothing serious but painful. Is this normal? I also have been real shakey with some heart palps which may be from what I ate at lunch or the meds wearing off. Does anyone know if I can take tylenol? Is it supposed to feel like this? I vaguely remember fighting the DR and gagging severly while it was going on.

Thanks for your help,
Katt

The sore throat and being a little fuzzy from meds is perfectly normal, some people experience more pain than others. I can't comment on the heart palpations - I doubt taking a normal dose of tylenol would hurt but that being said it probably won't help a whole lot either anyways. Take it easy and try sipping some warm liquids to soothe the throat, or use some cough drops/losenges. The soreness should only last a few days.
Hope you feel better!

Thanks for replying, I am actually feeling a bit better now, it just kind of freaked me out.
