What next!

Hi All,
I have been reading these boards for a couple of weeks now.
I did lots of research about my symptoms and ended up here.
In the past I have been to my GP with many symptoms burning in legs, he said It was my weight.
Some days my arm s and legs have a dead leg feeling.
I went with numbness in sexual area, had a smear and said it was clear. OK, I didn't go back as its a little embarrassing.
I went with hot, sore, tingling in hands,GP said it was anxiety.

As I have had an anxiety attack in 2001.This was when I was fighting to get a dx for my son and hitting brick walls. Finally dx with Asperger Syndrome.
So yes I thought it is probably anxiety, and left it again.
In November last year I went again with my hands again and he said it could be Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. He referred me to a Trauma doctor.

I went there in January, within minutes after doing a couple of movements with me he said it wasn't CPS, had me get an xray for an extra rib??? I did that and he looked at it and said No it isn't that. It must be your posture, I will send you to physio and I left.

Waited for appt for physio, 1st appt was on 1st Feb, had a full assessment and after discussing with another physio, they had me go back 2 days later to see senior physio. He did loads more assessment on me and said he would refer me to a Neurologist as he wants to rule out any disease.

Now I have rang to see how long waiting list is and because I have been referred by a physio It is only routine and could be up to 3 months.
I am thinking of getting private appointment now.

I am so confused as on the days I am ok I think it is all in my mind, then when its there(all the burning, tingling, soreness) I think I am going mad.

Just recently I just sit there and do nothing when kids have gone to school
and when I get up to do something my hands hurt just picking up a cup, I just feel so lazy.
I can't cook for them sometimes as my hands hurt when in hot kitchen.

In bed last night I was woken a number of times with a sharp pain stabbing me, in different places, leg then forearm, then forehead.
I have never had a full nights sleep since eldest son was born(he is 11) as he wouldn't sleep, then when he did begin sleeping at age approx 9, I began with all these silly symptoms. So I wonder if it is anxiety. I don't really feel anxious as I have got used to my sons behaviour.

My Mum says she will pay for anything that needs to be done.

Also a little more info, I have excema in my outer ears and get regular ear infections. The ENT doc said inner ear is clear. Went to dermatology and they sent me to Hope Hospital fot allergy testing, as in the past had very sore and numbe jaws, glands swelled, got tested for dental allergy to.
That lady doc said had to be tested for thyroid and Vit B12, they were fine.

Tested positive to nickel,mercury,gold,cobalt,palladium.
She said she didn't see the relevance to my symptoms and thought my outer ear was not a reaction to these as I have no actual contact with any of these in that area.
I have not worn jewelry for years as I get immediate reaction, so this news wasn't new to me.

Sorry this is so long
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi,
I honestly don't know much about neuropathy - I'm new to this board myself.

I just wanted to say that fish can be a source of mercury poisoning (especially tuna) - I don't know about the other metals.

Hope you get some answers soon.

Best wishes,
Julie
