The cuticle on my smallest toe started to grow over the toenail about a couple of years ago. If left unchecked (I find a way to scrape or cut it off), it would grow wildly over most of the nail. Has anyone heard of this? Does anyone know why? Is there a treatment? My dermatologist couldn't detect fungus and has said, "just live with it." The nail, too, seems flaky, by the way.
