My Dad is a type 2 diabetic. He broke his leg last August. He then had surgery and had plates and pins put in that leg. That healed fine but with all the swelling he developed ulcers on his leg and foot. His leg ulcer healed, his ulcer on his toe did not. It became necrotic and an infection traveled to inder his foot. Also he was hopspitalized twice with cellulitis. He had his toe removed and the bottom of his foot gutted with no flap. The circulation is bad and the revascularization surgery holds no promises for healing the big opened wound.
I have read about several nutrient dense products that are specifically for diabetics but am having a difficult time choosing. One is Life Solubles "RiSoTriene", another is Sportron Internationals "Diabetic Pack" and their "PHYTOPLEX", and another company is Foodform. I have even read about an Ayuveda product called "VASKO" a "Vascular-cleaning herbal dietary supplement" that will unblock arteries. Has anyone had success with any of these?
Also, has anyone had positive experiences with the Anodyne Therapy System for diabetic neuropathy and circulation problems (also helps to heal wounds). Infared light? Or electrostimulation therapy?
My Dad is a GREAT person. I love him so much and with his congestive heart failure we don't want him to lose his leg. So thanks so much if you can help at all.
Sincerely,
Juliebb
