My mom has breast cancer, that now has developed into lung cancer.

She was having troubles breathing, so the doctor looked to see what was affecting her breathing. The doctor found a tumor that was nearly closing one of her two bronchial tubes. She starts radiation today.

Question: How effective is radiation on a tumor of this type in this area? What are the realities on a tumor in this area?

My mom has been battling breast cancer for over 13 years. In the 13 years, this is the most worrisome thing yet for me. I am scared.

Radiation should shrink the tumor so your mom can breathe, also may help if she has pain.
Good luck to you both.
And prayers. Cheryl
