I was doing a search on adrenal glands and everything came up to your site, so I am hoping someone can help.
I had a routine chest xray done, the dx was a lung nodule, my Dr. wanted a c-scan, no lung nodule, the radiologist said it was arthritis in my mid thorax with spurring. but he mentions in the report that my left adrenal gland was in the upper normal. probably related to hyperplasia or a ademona.
My Drs. office called and said my scan was fine, but I am concerned about the adrenal gland. I do have faith in my Dr. she in my opinion over tests. Should I be evaluated further. there are no measurements on the report only to say in the high end of normal. If the radiologists could see my adrenal gland shouldn't he be able to tell which it is, hyperplasia or a adenoma?
By the wayI am 63 years old and read this is common in elderly people, but not comfortable about this.
Thank you so much, Linda
