Hi,
I posted on the Lung desease board and was referred here by a very nice member.
I was hospitalized in January for 5 days with pneumonia/partial left lung collapsed, found spot in left lung.I was able to shake the pneumonia then, but am still short of breath, weak, pain in front left chest, on side, and in upper left side of back, and I wheeze at times,I was put in hospital again in April for 9 days, they found that the spot in my left lung was
still there, had broncioscope, inconclusive and thalium stress test on heart,it was normal, have had multiple CT scans and ex-rays,all show small spot in left lung, was schedualed for a biopsy on May 2nd,but got pneumonia again so it was postponed.
smoked for 28 years,I started at age 10,but quit in January.
I know all signs are looking preety grim, and I am smart enough to see it,but has any one had these symptoms???Cansomeone possibly atleast be super honest with me,does it sound like possible LUNG cancer?or is it possible it is bad infection,I do have enphyzema for sure.
Sorry this is so long
I would appreciate anyones honesty and input.
Thank You, Rose

Hi Homefolks,
Thank you for responding to my message and the attempt to help me,I hope you Mother in-law is doing better.
I too hope it will go away with medicine,I was able to get rid of the pneumonia again,so the biopsy is rescheduled for May 28th.
I am still as short of breath and have all other symptoms...Just worse now, but minus the pneumonia.
I will keep you posted, and thanks again.

My 36 year old husband has conquered lung cancer twice in his young life. He has been free of it again for about 2 years now. Unfortunately, he lives with constant pain and pressure in his chest and coughs up blood frequently with severe pain and contractions when it happens. We are in and out of the hospital every few months with this and they do every single test known to man on him and find NOTHING. They can't even see in his lungs anymore where he had the cancer. They can't explain where the blood is coming from nor WHY?? The only good news about it is that this forces them each time to look for cancer and they don't find any....but we still hate living with this illness and not knowing what it is. Weird!!
My point to most of this is...don't EVER give up. The doctors told my husband both times he went through chemo to just go buy his coffin and he did......but never has had to use it!! Thank the sweet Lord above........don't give up!!
