For those of you who know most of this story, this is an update for you.
My friend's mom has completely contributed if not triggered my friend's anorexia. Her mom was angry that two of my friends talked to her about it, saying that they were "jealous", etc. HER MOM DOES NOT HAVE HER PRIORITIES STRAIGHT and it is SOOOOO frustrating. So we approached my friend once, she brushed it off, I didn't see her for about 3 weeks, and then this weekend we were all together again. When some dessert came out she went to the bathroom immediately and stayed there until it had all been passed around. Later, I asked if she tried what I had made for dessert and she told me she had a really big supper (she apparently ate before coming to my friend's house). I told her I NEVER make things, and she had a small bite. Later, she was looking in the mirror and saying (again) how her shoulder blades stick out. So now, since her mother wants absolutely nothing to do with this and refuses to see that her daughter is wasting away, it's up to me and my friends to do something. I think my next step is going to be to go to a health nurse (we don't have an eating disorder clinic where I live) and ask her what we should do. I feel so angry right now (mostly because of her mom) and because I feel like I don't even know my own best friend. I just had to vent.
