Hi, I posted a couple of weeks back. I am fairly content that I do not have HIV ( tested negative at 5.5 months). However, i recently told my fiance of my past and she told me she has a strange discharge from her vagina before her period comes, that sex sometimes hurts, and that she sometimes itches in the vicinity. For me, I still have a rash under my armpit that itches and have recurring strange black marks on inside of cheek ( in teh same spot). They are not there for a week or two, then it comes back for a day ( it looks like i bit my cheek in my sleep, but sometimes it develops during the day. I also get a slight discomfort in my groin area on occasion. My question is that if this is not HIV, does this sound like an STD. If so, which one. She is concerned that a lot of STD's can prevent women from having children. Does anyone know what this sounds like? She cannot get into the gyno until the 25th and I need to know if I should find a place to test in the mean time???

Thank you

I'm not sure about the rash but as a woman I can tell you that her symptons could be a wide variety of things. If she tells her gyno she's having some problems they may be able to see her sooner. Itching could be a bacterial infection, a yeast infection, a plain old rash. Discharge changes throughout her cycle as well. It doesn't have to be an STD but I would call the dr and tell them it's urgent so she can at least have some relief. And the piece of mind of knowing what it is will be so worth it.
