View Full Version : Breast changes plus severe dysplasia

Hi everyone, need a little advice please.
Had a punch biopsy done on Feb 15th after pap indicated dysplasia. About a month before I had an ultrasound (routine) to monitor my 3 yr old fibroadenoma in one breast. At the time of that ultrasound, the tech had a bugger of a time trying to find the mass as it had almost disppeared (though I had more burning pain in that breast than usual). I was told the radiologist was very pleased with it, and was sending it to the doctor, who she also expected to be pleased with the result.
Anyhoo, my boobs sometimes swell (& get lumpier), get a little tender before and during periods (typical). Well, my biopsy was done on the last day of my period and the swelling in my boobs has not gone down. In fact one boob has increased by almost a cup and a half, with more lumps than ever with the other boob developing a really hard lump towards the underarm area. Too painful to wear bras, but i have to manually cup them when going up and down stairs. No external changes (other than size), no nipple discharge or alterations. I was wondering if this is separate, or maybe connected to the biopsy. Could the biopsy have confused my hormones into creating this typically menstrual condition. I think if the ultrasound tech could see this now, I am sure they would be two radicaly different pics. Please help, i have read too many websites and freaked myself out. If Zerber reads this, please let me know what breast changes/symptoms you orignally detected that made you see a doc in the first place.
Thanks everyone....

I unfortunately have no input on this particular situation. I just wanted to say,,, You got quite the mind! It somewhat would make sense (hormones/biopsy/funny body we have!) I think. I know this may sound strange, but my boyfriend told me I was over analyzing, worrying myself too much, so, I've stopped (almost :( ) "researching" since it was making me worst off. I'm trying not to worry too much. (hint, hint. I know DANG!)
I sure hope things work out ok for you. Do keep posting.
It does make sense though, (I don't have much of an education, yet) if your body is concentrating to "fix" something, things go out of wack. (for a lack of better words.)
