I was just wondering if anyone had tried hypnotherapy as a method to recover form their e.d.'s (or other problems).
If yes...could you fill me in as to how it works and what is involved...and IF it worked?

I feel like i have tried a million different forms of therapy...but I have never tried hypnotherapy...or reiki for that matter.

Anyone have any info on these or other forms of alternative therapies?

Thanks!

I haven't tried hypnotherapy but I have tried accupuncture/osteopathy (reflexes, joint, etc- the needle one)and homeopathy ("remedies" to "cure" various things that are all tailored to the person). I found great results for both in terms of anxiety and stress. I used to get really really anxious about food especially, in terms of controlling it and needing to know calories, etc, and this anxiety carried over to other parts of my life (ie/ school, time management, etc) causing me to be snippy and moody a LOT. I found (and my uncle, who also went for stress/related things- but not ED wise) found that accupuncture seemed to give fairly quick results, and I find that homeopathy (directed at normalizing ALL aspects of my body, including my mind -ED) seems to be working slowly slowly but surely. It is worth a try, especially since I find the homeopathy to be a form of therapy because they ask lots of questions and you are supposed to basically talk about yourself so that there is a clear understanding of you the person and what exactly you struggle/succeed with, so that the remedy can be tailored to YOU.

Hope this helps!
