I have never purchased herbal supplements before and I am curious. Does any know if there are any type of rules or regulations that have to be followed when producing herbal supplements, besides the ingredients and the nutrition facts on the label. Do you have to be licensed or certified to make them or could basically anyone make supplements in their house then sell them. What type of regulations have to be followed to keep consumers safe.

Any info would be great

Thanks

In the United States herbal supplements are mostly without rules and regulation.

Always make sure the product has a DIN # and purchase at a reputable health food store.
