Hi, I m new to this. I have some questions though. For going on 4 months now, I have had a swollen node on the left side of my neck. I am to have a biospy tomorrow to find out what it could be. But whenever I looked on the internet for info, all that would come up was either children and infections or cancer. I have talked to a few people also and they have asked me some questions about what all I was experiencing. Along with the swollen node
I have had on and off fevers that don't usually get above 100, I have like a tinging sort of feeling in my hands and feet and sometimes in my lips, I itch but not too badly, I have had a this pain in my chest, right above the bottom of my rib cage, and when I feel on it, I know that it isn't a rib, because it is only firm and round, not hard. I get sweats at night, I have to have a fan blowing on me, everynight, even when it is cold, but I don't sweat that much. And then I get sometimes these sharp pains in my arms, hands, and legs and feet, and those are off and on also. Another things is that whenever I walk upstairs or anything that is higher in elevation than the ground, I get to where it is hard for me to breath, but whenever I am doing anything else I am fine.
The last problem I have is that it is hard for me to swallow sometimes, because I get to where it feels like there is something in my lower throat, but no matter how much I try to get whatever it is out, nothing helps it. I know that swollen nodes means there is a infection somewhere, but the one tht I have has been there and I have had no infections. If anyone can help or give a little insight please help. Thank you.

Hi Sorry to hear you are feeling this way...
There are a number of things...yes an infection...yes a lymphoma...yes thyroid problems.....
All of which are treatable....
You are doing the best thing by having the biopsy done....
When my hubby had lymphoma he was asked if he had night sweats and any itching, these are associated with what they call the B symptoms...meaning b cell lymphoma....now dont get worried overly as you must be by now...B cell lymphoma is very responsive to chemo and drugs... So whatever you have is treatable....So try not to worry as stress will make you think all sorts...wait for the biopsy..please let me know the results...you can email me if you wish to have somebody to talk to..janiebell@bellandkendall.fsnet.co.uk
Good luck and take care..
Love Janie xxxxx

4 years ago I had a swollen node in my neck and entreme fatigue also. The node was removed and sent to a pathologist.
I was diagnosed with Hodgkin´s disease and had Chemo and radio therapy. Last week I had another node removed from my groin and diagnosed with just an Hyperplasia (nothing bad) but I was really scared.
Face the facts and have a biopsy done.
Good luck.
write if I can be of help.
