Hello,
I have been on Weight Watchers and have lost 18 pounds through walking/running three days a week walking around 6 to 8 miles a week. I don't know if this has anything to do with it.
I came on vacation and went to a spa and was washing off mud from a mud bath and noticed this lump. I instantly became worried.
The next couple of days I don't know if it was psychological or what, but I felt like I was losing circulation in my leg.
It's feeling better now, but the lump is still there.
By the way, I am a female and the lump is on my inside of my right leg.
Any ideas?

Dear Rene'e....
Firstly there is a number of things this can be....
If the lump is painless, it can be a swelling of the Lymph nodes in the groin area...This can be caused by infection, lymphodema and possibly a cancer .....
The best bet is to see your GP...it could even be a strain where you have been doing more exercise...
Just get it checked out.....
Thats the wisest thing to do..

If its bothering you...get it checked out by your doc just to ease your mind. Lumps in the groin can regularly be felt in normal people. I know myself....I lost 30-40 pounds and was able to feel two lymph nodes in my groin area I was not able to feel before....the doc said it was because I lost fat in that area....usually as long as the lump isnt growing..it should be OK.

Thank you for your reply.
I have decided to make an appointment with my Doctor for the next day I return in to Washington.
My friend who is a nurse practitioner told me to measure the lump so I can tell the Doctor when I go in to see her. And she told me to put warm compresses on the area, so I began that last night.
I will post a message after I go to the Doctor.
Thanks again for caring enough to write a message. I'm talking to all who have replied.
Bless you all!!!

Hi Everyone,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to the site...I lost the URL.
Anyway, the day after I came home from California (where I found the lump) I went to the Doctor. And she said that it was not cancerous. She said it was a cyst!
She said that the pain I was having was probably due to my back. And once I continued to do research it sounds like I have Sciatica Pain, which is a whole other story, but the pain is going away.
The lump is smaller and continues to shrink..."Praise the Lord!"
Thanks for all your concerns.
Sincerely,
Rene'e
