Original symptoms - excruciating pain in the side of my breast plus a mobile, non-discreet lump. I thought it was due to an accident I had in which the breast took a serious hit.
Was referred to a "rapid diagnostic" breast clinic within a week (my mother had breast cancer and I am over 30).
Tuesday: breast ultrasound showed nothing...the radiologist thought it was normal breast tissue either (1) bruised or (2) responding to hormones in my system.
They did a needle biopsy anyway (due to my family history). The Doc had a hard time getting any cells at all, and thought at the time that she was just sucking normal breast tissue as well.
Biopsy results today came back NORMAL!!! NEGATIVE! I will watch it closely but I am so happy! Your mind can really run away from you when you're waiting for results. Be patient all those waiting and I will pray you have similar results to mine.
