hi about 1 month ago i had a pea sized lump show up out of the blue, it doesnt hurt or ache at all, it seems like its DIRECTLY under the skin, it doesn feel like its attached to anything like a bone or lympho nodes, i can pinch it in my fingers and move the pea around, i can "pull" is off up and all around. if a lymphnoid has a tumor on it would i be able to pick this thing up off of it like that? when i pull my scalp the lump moves with it, if it was the lymphnode, wouldnt the pea stay still and the skin would glide over it?? god im scared :( please advise, i have no other symptoms at all, i am just worried cuz my mom has nhl and i think im a worry wart now :(, so i guess what im asking, as i discribe this lump, does it seem to fit the bill as a lymphnode lump, or maybe just something under the skin, its perfectly round and smooth, same color as the reast of the skin, please help also there is NO sweeling at all in these or surrounding nodes

See your doctor. The fact that your mother has nhl is at least a concern to you even though there is no exact scientific statistics to prove that nhl runs in families. Apparently you are worried enough to mention it here. But, your doctor could help relieve your fears.

Double....
Have you found out what it was yet? I was going to suggest that it might be a boil. If it is a lymph node, I'd say it must be infected, to be red and in the condition this looks to be. I am no doctor, of course. But I really think a trip to the dr. would end your fear because it really does look like a boil or perhaps even an infected hair follicle.

how deep under the skin in this area are the nodes, i can lift up on the outer most layer of the skin and this thing comes with it... and u can almost pinch underneth it, wouldnt that suggest its not actually the lymphnode ? i have not gone to have it looked at, im too scared :( i have no other symtoms what so ever does it look like a cyst? dont they ache at all?

First off I am not a doctor, however..
A few weeks after my son was born he developed a very similiar problem.. A small lump behind his ear that would move around. It didn't seem to bother him or cause any pain. It turned out to be a dermoid cyst and was benign. According to the surgeon it is common and was not an indicator of anything to come. It was however removed and that was pretty much the end of it.
This may help calm your mind as well. Lymphoma, hodgkins or otherwise is usaully indicated by a firm, painless, swollen lymphnode. There are other symptons like weight loss, and itchiness.
I would see a doctor though, as its very likely they are going to want to remove it.
