Hi. My Aunt told me that she may have lymphoma. She said that the Doctors found two golf ball size lumps in her arm pits. What can be done about this? Please advise.

There are many things that can cause'lumps' so please relax and let her doctors evaluate her using all the latest technology. IF it should be a lymphoma, it must be biopsied and staged in order for the docs to treat it properly. Staging goes from 1-4 and that depends on alot of variables with the types of cell that many be involved. I could go on and on...just know that if there is a diagnosis of lymphoma, there is a high cure rate in most cases and if not cureable, can be put in remissions over and over again. I know because i was diagnosed with lymphoma 27 years ago and even with 8 reoccurances of disease w/ treatments, i am happy to say that right now i am alive and well, and we must take each day and make it the best it can be. So support your aunt, and know that many things usually can be done if you find a enlightened doctor. God bless, and please email me if you like..Take care! Nicole23 03-09-2002, 03:58 AM Thanks, good to know that there is a cure or it can be put into remission. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif Unfortunately, I have my own health problems TMJ, which there is no cure for. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/frown.gif [This message has been edited by Nicole23 (edited 03-09-2002).] |
