Hi all,
A month or two ago I wrote in about having some internal hemroids that had gotten inflamed. I've gotten inflamation from time to time but the last time, I didnt treat it quickly and it took 3 months before it stopped being inflamed. Because it lasted so long, my doctor wanted me to get a colonoscopy and possibly have them removed. However, in the last few weeks, the pain has all but subsided and I really have no complaints. Seems like I'm healed. :) Although, I realize that if I have a hard movement or drink too much or eat some spicy food, it could re-irritate the situation.
Now I'm wondering if I should get a colonoscopy at this point? My doctor said that hemroids never really go away... they will always potentially flare up if you dont take care of yourself. And the only reason he advised the colonoscopy was because the irritation wouldnt die down. Well, now it finally has!
What should I do? I really dont want to go through the hassle of a colonoscopy if its unnecessary. What is your experience?
