Hi my name is Keith from UK I suppose the symptoms are same whether young or 43 as i was 3 years ago,you do not say what the childs symptoms are.
My symptoms were drenching nights sweats, weight loss(i wasn't very big to start with but lost about a stone),very tired.
There are other signs such as lumps in groin,in armpits and the neck,i never had these as it was found in my bone marrow(this should be checked as well).
Hope this will help.
Keith.
