View Full Version : TMJ splints can they cause

I have worn an upper and lower TMj splint for a year and a half. Now I have a posterior open bite when I bite down. One dentist told me that the splints can actually cause the posterior teth to intrude. Does that sound right?

yes it can happen I had an open bite before my splint but I don't care all that matters to me that I am not in pain.
