Hi,
I know some of you have mentioned having extra heavy or painful periods after a LEEP but I'm wondering if any of you have experienced this after a biopsy. I had a punch biopsy and ECC three weeks ago and this is my first period since. I was only one day late, not bad for as stressed as I am but it is much heavier and much much more painful than usual. I mean it is usually moderate cramping but this time it's sharp, unrelenting pain for a day and a half straight and advil and the like aren't helping. Should I be concerned or is it just because of stress?

I had multiple punch biopsies and an ECC 2 months ago and the 2 periods I have had since are irregular and more painful than usual... :(

:( I'm so sorry Elenak. I was kind of hoping that it was just me and was just a fluke. I'll let you know if I discover anything that makes it better. It's just a shame that even something that's already a pain has to be made worse by all this mess. As if periods weren't enough on their own.....

Thank you for your courage in posting about this... I was reluctant to post because I, too, felt it was just me overreacting. I hope this is a temporary side-effect and that things go back to normal soon. (Not that there is much "normal" about my menstrual cramps in any case...)

I had the opposite - I had like 1/2 a period, for about 6 days! Not complaining, but its really weird... plus I have PCOS so Its not healthy for me not to have a full period, that means you arent 'sheddding' the lining fully........ugh! we cant win!
