For the past few months I've been feeling very tired, dizzy, muscle pains, etc. I had a swollen painful lump in my neck 2 weeks ago. The pain went away but the lump remained. So, I went to the doc last week and he found the lump and ran some blood work with a chest x-ray. All of the tests came back normal. Still waiting on one tests for lupus. My b/p is high, and the nodes under my arms are sore and swollen. I get tired very easily and sometimes have shortness of breath. Which doesn't fare well with me since I have 2 young children with Autism to attend to.

I guess my question is should I be concerned?? and since the antibiotics aren't working what should I do next?? I have an older doc who is a family practitioner with a kinda "lax" attitude. My mother tells me it's all stress related, but I've never felt so lousey in my life. Just not my usual self.

Open for suggestions!

Wait for tests to come back. Ususally cancer related lumps are not painful unless they are sitting on a nerve etc. If the doc is stumped, have him refer you to an internist for follow-up. Hang in there!

I did get my lupus results back but those were normal. My doc is suppose to talk to me on monday to see what else we will do. I'm still tired, but the lightheadedness has lessened, and at least I can get through my day. I have been experiencing forgetfullnes and blurred vision also, not sure if they are related. Last year I had an elevated ALT, and I had it re-done and it came back normal. I work in a hospital as a patient care assistant, so, I'm familiar with some of the tests. Just not the ones used to test for lymphomas.

I'll keep ya guys posted http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

P.s. I did some reading last nite and you can have pain in a malignant mass. Also mine is fixed, not movable which makes me worry more!!
