I am Non_hodgkins Lymphoma survivor...I was just curious if anyone knew anything about recurrences...do you get the same symptoms as before...or do you get new things happening? The first time a had weight loss, night sweats, shortness of breath, etc... I'm not having these symptoms now but was just curious that if the cancer begins to grow again could you tell by the old symptoms?

Lymphoma can show up anywhere so a reocurrence
could bring different symptoms. The best way to
stay in touch with what is happening is regular check-
ups and blood tests. Good luck.

Hi, I had a recurrence and had no idea it was coming. I was going in every 3 mths and happen to have an x-ray on one visit and doc noticed a change. I was sent for CT scan and it was confirmed it had started to grow again in the same area. Had a more severe tx and now I'm a year and half in remission again. Forever fearful but still hold in my head that its a chronic disease and it will not get me, I'll get tx and carry on whenever I have to. I have children to take care of, I'm not leaving their upbringing to my husband, he'll just screw it up!

Good thoughts and prayers to you both. Lymphoma
can be such a silent disease. My Mother has it and
thought a check up every three months was excessive
but we learned that it is necessary. It's the best way to keep ahead of it. There are so many new
treatments now and more on the way. Just make sure to
keep yourself informed on all the new treatments
out there. I never leave that in a Dr.'s hands no
matter who good he is. Dr's don't always have the time
to keep track of the newest things.

Hi,my HD was hidden no obvious lumps found in bone marrow initially but every time i go for my follow up they always feel in the usual places, arm pits neck and groin so i would say the symptoms could be different. If you have any worries se your ONC.
