Sponsor singer1 03-13-2005, 08:24 AM My husband and friend have it and the first thing that has helped them is asking God to help them. What a difference that made! It took some time, but they are both much better than what they were! Neither one take meds for it because now, it's much more liveable to be around! Jessicca 03-13-2005, 09:50 AM Hi I am an adutl sufferign from ADD, and i was wonderign what medication have other adults found that worked quite well. Ritalin(concerta, metadate) is usually the first med to be prescribed because of it's high sucess rates, and if that doesnt' work(most cases it does like 75%%)then the doc will have him/her switch to adderall or some other form of a stimulant. From what I've been reading, Adderall works wonders for many too, I think because it's a stronger stimulant. Could somebody tell me? Ritalin is what? and Adderall and Dexatrine is a amphetamine right? Anyways, I've been on Ritalin for a week and a few days now and noticed a little difference but it hasn't been long enought to say that it's REALLY working. I have a test in 2 weeks so THAT's what will determine it. So far, my memory IS a little better and I don't remember the last time I said "WHere's my keys?" or something else, which I do REALLY often. LOL PrincessBride22 03-13-2005, 10:57 AM Hi Fullfire, I think you should try Concerta before any of the other medications. It works so well for me! I find that I can focus so much better with it and it helps me stay more calm and less impulsive and I also listen better to peopel talking to me. I may have to get a higher doseage because I think i need a little stronger but concerta is great! it does work! so try it out and see what you think! |
