I am fit, in good weight and walk 1-2 miles daily. Recently having pain in the upper front and sometimes upper sides of left leg and then sore feeling in knee. Until yesterday walking did not make it worse but while out walking the pain intensified in upper leg horribly. Seemed better when I got home and seems to come and go, last night knee area felt sore. I did go to chiropractor a couple weeks ago and mentioned it, he thought it was a pulled muscle problem as i told him I had done some leg exercises prior to pains starting. Seemed like it went away for a few days and then returned. Its really annoying, seems worse when sitting at computer whether I keep leg bent or straight. In bed at night seems its better straight. I am just wondering if anyone else has had similar problems, I am in my 60's and hoping its nothing serious that will stop me walking and keeping fit esp as I love my walks and so does my doggie .

Maybe go to a rheumatologist? They deal with the muscles and joint pains, and that would be the best doctor for your problems. I get alot of muscle cramps, spasms, and pain, and my rheum. really helps out with muscle relaxers and something for the pain. He could also run tests and see what is going on. I hope this helped! Good luck and take care....

Thanks for being so kind and responding :) Turns out its a quadracept problem in my upper leg. I think I did it trying to walk a neighbor's dog so its getting better now and I felt relieved to find out the problem :)
